Warranty Coverage

Overview

Advent is the Manufacture of a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and has the following Warranty coverage on everyone of the Advent DVR’s. Advent also has the same warranty on any equipment of job that Advent or its installers perform. This warranty includes Advents Gold Medallion Support and Service, which includes the following:

  • Coverage Period: Two years from time equipment is sold or the completion of the systems installation
  • All parts and Labor for the DVR, Cameras, Wiring, and Monitors, anything associated with the installation is covered under this warranty. (See section on warranty violations)
  • Direct telephone access 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, including holidays, to the Advent help desk or a senior-level analysts who will help troubleshoot all functions of the DVR and Camera System.
  • On-site dispatch of service technician and/or warranty parts to Customer’s business locations (as necessary) for repairs and resolutions necessary due to a defect in materials or workmanship of the Advent DVR System.
  • Crisis and dispatch management via the Advent Help Desk to help provide real-time tracking to route parts and dispatch expert technicians to the Customer’s business locations.
Warranty Does Not Include:
  • Accessories, Supply items, extra parts
  • Installation, de-installation or relocation services.
  • Direct third party product support
  • Repairs necessitated as a result of alterations, adjustments, or repair by anyone other than Advent authorized representatives.
  • Support for equipment damages by misuse, accident, abuse of Supported Systems or components (such as, but not limited to use of incorrect line voltages, use of incorrect fuses, use of incompatible devices or accessories, improper or insufficient ventilation, or failure to follow operating instructions), modifications, unsuitable physical or operating environment, improper maintenance by Customer (or Customer’s agent), moving the system, removal or alteration of equipment or parts identification labels, or failure caused by a product for which Advent is not responsible.
  • Support for damage resulting from an act of God such as, but not limited to, lightning, flooding, tornado, earthquakes, and hurricanes.
  • Any activities or services not expressly described in this Service Description.
